It's Spring! It's Spring! It's Spring!

Soooo today started off weird for me. Nothing bad just not as peaceful as I would like it to be. I don't like that. Who really does? So instead of wallowing in my pity party I thought I'd make a card to brighten up my own day! hahahahahahhaha Why not send it to myself? I'm my friend, aren't I? One of my best friends afterall. hahahahahha

Now I don't know if I'm really "so Tweet!" hahahahahha but playing with the colours and the little birdie did cheer me up so that's something, right? hahahahaha Made me make a few more too. hahahaha

So here's the little card I made for myself using my Spring Breeze Collection (which is hopefully going to be on the shelves soon). Hope it brings a little springy sunshine into your day too!

Now let's get this day going the way I like it..... with joy and chuckles! hahahaha

Literal Spring Cleaning

This Spring Cleaning Sale in our shop has (unfortunately) bled into our house. What is it about spring cleaning the house that seems like a great idea........if someone else is doing it! You think, I'll pick up this, wipe that dog sloob off that wall, move my winter boots to the back of the closet, that unleashes this "cleaning zombie"mode in someone.

If someone told you, or gave you the list of the things that needed to be done for Spring cleaning, you'd shove it back into their clean hands and give them the look like "you'd have a better chance asking me to spin gold out of that ball of dog hair that you want me to cleanup"! Yet, you do one of those things, well you're waiting for the dogs at the backdoor, and then another, and then another...well, I think you get the message.

I think it's a kind thing that your mind says "Oh, I'll just do this", kinda not let you in on what is ahead of you. Then your zombie takes over, and before you can process what you are actually doing, you're almost finished and OK with the last of the tasks that need to be done.

I won't tell you where we're at in the process......but I'm cognizant of what's left to be done.....so......

Times...... They are a-changin'!

Was it just me or did the setting the clocks forward one hour create chaos in your day yesterday too? hahahahha I'm telling ya I felt like I was chasing the day all day long. Here we were thinking we were soooo ahead of the game as we sat and had our coffee (LG) and tea (me) in the morning. We'd already swept the cinders from the hearth, slopped and walked the crew, and were congratulating ourselves on being so ahead of the game. Then we traipsed downstairs and started working on the computers and noticed we were behind an hour. hahahahaha Didn't even realized it was time to set the clocks forward (well, unless you live in Saskatchewan... where they are too dimwitted to do such things hahahahahaha and I can say that as I spent the better part of my youth in that province and fit right in! hahahaha). It seemed to me that the whole day felt like I was behind. So far behind that I thought I was winning, gentle reader! I had to hurry to get to making lunch, hurry to my nap, and hurry to getting to my chores! hahahahahha Am I getting old? Am I getting dimmer than I was? What was up with that? Thank goodness this nonsense only happens twice a year..... or less if I move back to my roots in Saskatchewan! hahahaha

Aaaaah the times..... they are a-changin'!

Happy Birthday Finn!!

Yup.... I can't believe it myself but our little charmer is 8 today! EIGHT!!! How can that be, gentle reader? It seems like I just brought this little bundle of speckles home the other day??? How can he be eight? and how can he be as well behaved as he was on the day we brought him home? hahahaha Actually I do know the answer to that one...... LG! He has spoiled this pooch rotten. and Finn has lapped it all up with that giant tongue of his! hahahahahahhaa

This little feller is just full of character. Seriously. He could have been a cartoon. He should be. The way he trots everywhere... the way he works himself into the prime location spots wherever we are.... the way those "setter" eyes of his looking at me earnestly make me putty in his hands. Oh it's all really quite embarrassing what he can get away with.... and just what we'll put up with and do for this boy. Here's a shameful fact for ya.... for 8 years I have allowed this dog to lick the bubbles off my head when my hair is full of shampoo when I'm having a bath. I know, I know.... It's absurd. I know. But what can ya do when those eyes are looking at you while he's standing beside the tub waiting for his turn (or rather trying to stand on the side of the tub as to hurry me along). This is my boy. What can ya do?

And here's the funniest thing we just discovered the other day. We were watching a few minutes of the West Minster Dog Show and luckily happened to see the Sporting Group part of the show. Lucky for us as that's where our crew always fits in. Well, we happen to see the Irish Red & White Setter that is in the Best of Group category. Guess what? He's Finn's kin! hahahahhahaha Oh how we laughed when we saw that this incredible dog on our tube was from the very same lines (and kennel) as our boy who at the time was laying on the floor.... ahem, attending to himself! hahahahahhaa

Oh but our Finn has brought such laughter to our lives. That's the real reason he gets away with murder. He makes us laugh all the time. Funny how that works for me??? I'll put up with a great deal if someone makes me laugh! hahahahahahhaha

Happy Birthday, Finn..... here's to looking for many more years of laughter with you!

What's new on a Monday

So what's new on a Monday? Well....it's Monday!! Back to work for most, the regular routine, the same meals, same old day. What is it about Mondays that make us feel like it's toast without butter?! Maybe because you know you have 5 days until the weekend, till you have ample time to do what you want to do.

Make Monday a treat your self day! I'm going to make puffed wheat cake, simple and quick, but enjoyable - treat day! Ok, I'm looking forward to it lots now (wiping the drool from my keyboard), so off I go.

Monday is now treat day - what's your treat?

Tomorrow's the day, folks!

So tomorrow is the day to change over the computers to the new operating systems. I'll be honest with ya, cause I feel I can be, I'm a little ascared. hahahaha I do not like to mess around with my computer. At all. period. It takes me forever to get it set up the way I like it with my hot keys at the ready, my monitor displaying the colors I like, and my FreeCell game close at hand! hahaha I am always told "oh it's no problem at all to do such and such to your computer"... "it's a piece of cake, lady".... "easy peasy look who's squeazy".... they tell me. and then they do it. and I spend two or three days trying to find out where my print button went. hahahaha

Soooooo here goes nuttin' folks! If you don't hear from me anymore cause I no longer have access to the internet, please think of me fondly and remember the good times.... hahahahaha

If you do hear from me again and everything goes according to plan (and when does it really?) you should see a new kit in the shop shortly. Here's a sneak peek for you to tie you over til it's on there.... (and iffen I never get back on the web.... well you'll know that I went out doing something I love.... drawering tulips! hahahahahahahaha

Wish us luck, gentle reader, wish us luck!

Thank you, Sid!!!

Oh but that was soooo fun, eh? hahahahaha Talk about a nail-biter! Me and LG did the "riverdance" after every goal, hugged each other in shock and scaredy-cattedness 24 seconds left in regulation time, and cheered our fool heads off til my voice sounded like a squeaky mouse! hahahahaha

Thank you Canada, thank you Olympians, thank you for such a great couple of weeks of games! We laughed, we cried, we cheered, we celebrated, we enjoyed! Two happy little canucks sitting in the prairies!

Oooooooh but that was fun, eh?!?! hahahahhahaa

Squeaky voice Canuck out.
